3. Implant Surgery (Teeth in a Day!)

On the day of your surgery:

* Any remaining teeth are gently removed

* 4 to 6 dental implants are placed per arch in your jaw

* A beautiful set of temporary teeth is attached the same day – so you leave with a full smile!

You’ll be fully relaxed and sedated by a licensed professional — you won’t feel a thing during the procedure.

4. Healing Time (3–6 Months)

As your implants heal and bond with your jawbone, you’ll wear your temporary smile and eat soft foods.

All-on-X Dental Implants – FAQs

What is the All-on-X procedure?

All-on-X is a full-arch dental implant solution where 4 to 6 implants are placed in your jaw to support a full set of new teeth. It’s a permanent, stable alternative to dentures.

The “X” stands for the number of implants placed per arch (usually 4, 5, or 6). These implants support all your replacement teeth on that arch.

Yes! On the day of your surgery, a beautiful temporary set of teeth is attached to your implants — so you leave with a full smile.

Nope! You’ll be sedated by a licensed professional and completely comfortable. Most patients don’t remember the procedure at all.

On surgery day, the entire procedure typically takes about 2 to 4 hours, depending on the complexity and whether one or both arches are being treated.

Healing takes about 3 to 6 months. During this time, your implants fuse with your jawbone (a process called osseointegration), and you’ll wear your temporary smile.

With proper care, the implants themselves can last a lifetime. Your final prosthetic teeth are built to last many years and can be replaced if needed.

You’ll need to stick to soft foods during the healing phase, but once your permanent teeth are in, you’ll be able to eat nearly anything again — even steak and apples!

Most patients with missing or failing teeth are good candidates. Even if you’ve been told you don’t have enough bone for implants, this procedure may still be possible.

We take your overall health seriously. During your consultation, we’ll review your medical history in detail and work with your physician if needed. Many patients with diabetes, heart conditions, or other health concerns can still safely undergo the procedure with proper precautions.

Just like natural teeth — brush, floss (or use a water flosser), and come in for regular dental visits. We’ll show you exactly how to care for them.

Not at all. Thanks to sedation, you won’t feel anything during surgery. Afterward, most patients report only mild discomfort for a few days, which can be managed with medication.
