Dr. Adrian Rayyan is the owner and lead dentist at Family Dentistry of Crystal Lake, a trusted dental practice serving Crystal Lake, Illinois and the surrounding McHenry County communities. Known for her gentle approach and advanced surgical expertise, Dr. Rayyan treats every patient like family. Dr. Rayyan's path to dentistry began long before dental school. After graduating high school with a 4.0 GPA, she attended George Mason University in Northern Virginia, where she studied forensic science with her sights set on criminal investigation and blood spatter analysis.
While she loved the scientific and investigative side of the work, she discovered that her true passion was helping people directly through healthcare — a realization that led her straight to dentistry.
In 2013, Dr. Rayyan relocated from Northern Virginia to the Chicago area. As a wife and mother of three children, she balanced a full family life while pursuing her dream of becoming a dentist.
Dr. Rayyan earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Downers Grove, Illinois, where she distinguished herself through academic achievement, clinical excellence, and leadership.
She graduated near the top of her class and received numerous awards and honors throughout dental school — a dedication to excellence that continues to drive her professional growth today.

Since graduating, she has completed more than 500 hours of advanced continuing education so her patients always benefit from the most current techniques and treatment options available. ORCAA, which stands for Operation Re-dentulate Central America Association, is an advanced implant dentistry education program focused on full-arch rehabilitation and All-on-X treatment. Its Level 2 program provides experienced dentists with hands-on training in live surgical cases, immediate-loading techniques, treatment planning, and the digital workflows involved in restoring patients with multiple missing or failing teeth.
